It's been a minute since we posted a great honey infused recipe. With grilling season well underway we thought we would try out this tasty BBQ Pork Sate. Featuring fresh veggies, the other white meat and an overnight marinade infused with honey and Asian flavors. Honey is the perfect addition to your marinades and sauces, especially if you are looking to cut back on your sugar. Honey has less actual sugar in it then a tablespoon of refined sugar. Offering more sweetness and a whole new flavor profile! The pork in this recipe needs to marinade overnight or you need to prep early in the morning. Pork takes a bit longer to pick up flavors compared to chicken. Which by the way... you can substitute pork for chicken, beef or even shrimp (cook times/heat will vary)!

1 T - ground coriander
1/3 cup - honey
1 tsp. - salt
1/2 tsp. - black pepper
1/2 tsp. - garlic powder

3 T - fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup - soy sauce
1 1/2 lbs. - boneless, lean pork
3 - pita bread, cut in half and opened

Serve hot in pita bread.
TIP
Chopped onion, tomatoes, shredded lettuce, crushed pineapple and/or sesame seeds may be used as additional pita fillings. *Adapted from the National Honey Board
