Beet Smoothie

Want to eat more beets? Try a Beet Smoothie: the perfect way to get beets into your diet with delicious fruity flavor. You don’t even need to worry about cooking the beet! Peel it and throw it in raw, and it gives the most vibrant color to this puree. It’s the perfect way to use beets you’re not sure what to do with. This smoothie comes out with the best sweet beet flavor offset by banana, apple, pineapple a little honey and a prayer! Here’s how to make it.



Ingredients

  • 1 small raw beet (about 2/3 cup peeled and diced)

  • 1 large green apple

  • 1 banana

  • 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks or mango

  • ***Wildflower honey to taste

  • ½ cup water

  • 10 ice cubes


Instructions

  1. Peel the raw beet, then dice it (be careful of the beet juice, as it stains!).

  2. Chop the apple, leaving the skin on. Break the banana into pieces.

  3. Add the beet, apple, banana, frozen pineapple, water, and ice cubes. Blend until smooth. Eat immediately or store 1 day in a sealed jar; if it separates, shake to re-integrate it.

***You can add wildflower honey if you like to sweeten this amazing smoothie
