So, without further ado, here are four crock pot dinner options using salsa that will tantalize your taste buds.
1. Salsa Chicken Tacos
Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 cups of your favorite salsa (Mild, Medium, Hot, Ghost Pepper, Carolina Reaper)
1 tsp of cumin
Salt & pepper, to taste
Tortillas and taco toppings (lettuce, cheese, sour cream, etc.)
Instructions:
Place chicken breasts in the crock pot.
Pour salsa over the chicken and sprinkle with cumin, salt, and pepper.
Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
Shred chicken with two forks and mix well.
Serve on tortillas with your favorite taco toppings.
2. Spicy Salsa Beef Stew
Ingredients:
1-2 lb beef stew meat

2 cups beef broth

Salt & pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Place all ingredients in the crock pot.

Ingredients:
1 can of black beans, drained and rinsed
1 can of corn, drained
1 jar of salsa (Medium Corn or Medium Garden)
1 block of cream cheese
1 bell pepper, diced
1 onion, diced
1 tsp cumin
Salt & pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Place all ingredients, except the cream cheese, in the crock pot.
Place the block of cream cheese on top.
Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
Stir well, ensuring the cream cheese blends smoothly.
Serve with tortilla chips or rice.
4. Salsa Pulled Pork Sliders
Ingredients:
2 lbs pork shoulder or butt
1 jar of salsa (Try it with a fruit salsa, Cranberry, Strawberry or Peach)
1/4 cup of the Waterford Bee Company honey
Slider buns and coleslaw for serving
Sweet Carolina BBQ Sauce or Hot-n-Spicy BBQ Sauce make a great addition!
