Spring is in the Air!

Spring is in the air, and the Bees are just beginning to get out and about. Spring is a super busy time for our bees. Not only because this is the time of year that they begin to restock food, but it's also the season when new colonies are starting to be established and established colonies begin to re-emerge. This is when Virgin Queens (ALL HAIL THE QUEEN!) mate, as well as when the queen really begins to lay eggs that will grow over a period of 21 days will develop into hardy worker bees!

Please be kind to pollinators during this time of year. Leave Dandelions to grow in lawns, and try not to disturb wild flowers growing at the edge of fields. Bees and other pollinators need these early pollen and nectar sources to build up their colonies to strength so that they are able to pollinate all of the wonderful plants in our ecosystems.
